The Surface Pro 4 is a tablet that can do similar things to a laptop, doesn't come in quad core and is a year old. How many $2000 quad core 15" laptops are using LPDDR3? Not many, if any. It just says Apple shouldn't be using LPDDR3 there. Hell, the Surface Pro 4 only has 4 Gigs of RAM in the base configuration and you have to spring for a CPU upgrade before you can even order it custom with 16 Gigs of RAM. What Laptop using LPDDR3 offers more than 16 Gigs of RAM?
I know I'll also love the 16GB RAM ceiling in my 15" MBP, so what if every other 15" quad core laptop $2000+ on the market can do 32GB or 64? It'll go great with the spinning rust hard drive in my $3000 iMac.
